Hector relayed this entirely, so the validity of the story can only ever be as strong as a bull’s word. According to Hector, the old man had spun and weaved like a dancing puppet as he traveled beside her, so he must have been caught on some sort of system of strings the lady had devised. A terrifying fate, proclaimed Hector, to have your will commandeered like that.
