About the Print:
While visiting the elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka, I wanted to create an image that captured the dream-like circumstances of several decades of baby elephants being rescued and brought together to form a new family. It was touching to see these former strangers move, bathe and play together as a herd in a shallow river on the edge of the jungle. The day's overcast and stormy sky provided a perfect backdrop for this otherwise tranquil scene.
