Cow Hill

Cow Hill by John Sigler

About the Print:

Re-released from the vault for this week.

Since January 1st, I have been doing a 365 project on flickr.com where I shoot and upload one photo every day for an entire year. My greatest challenge is that for 4 days a week, I have to commute from San Francisco to San Jose which leaves me little time each day to seek out new subjects.

Fortunately I take Highway 280 to and from work, and along the way are the very picturesque Los Altos Hills which I have shot quite a few times this year. I’ve been using my filthy driver’s side window and have been shooting into the sun to achieve lens flares and other interesting light distortions to give the images a dreamlike quality. I also do a lot of Photoshop post processing to achieve that effect.

By John Sigler. An archival pigment print.

This print is no longer available from Wallblank. It is shown here (and will remain) for archive purposes.
