While once again rummaging through Ebay for something to inspire me, I came across a handful of 1950’s McCalls sewing patterns. I’ve always been intrigued by the layers of tulle and wool that make up these iconic skirts and so, I made one for myself. The quote conjures up an era of martinis and kitten heels, certainly lending itself to a little kick and a skip out of sight. The black and white is simply a nod to the classicalness and modernity of the era itself.
