This week’s selection from the vault is this gorgeous piece from James Erickson. We’re adding a second smaller size that until now was only available in-person at James’ shows.
Apple orchards have always been a sort of spiritual experience for me. This painting emerges from my experiences on Carter Mountain and includes some dream-like elements that demonstrate how the orchard helps me to revisit my childhood. Originally a design for a mural to be painted in Charlottesville, Virginia, this stained glass panel depicts the super-natural elements of everyday life.
By James Erickson. An archival pigment print on 100% cotton rag paper.
