three hundred seventy-three days; seven thousand, five hundred miles
undoubtably the greatest of these days have been the narrowest ones- the wildest and most invigorating moments of circumstances uncovered when freedom of choice and vision were no longer valid and when risk and faith and desire consequently began to grow together. these were the days of hitch hiking and unconnected paths and new people and places. these were the eves of night-staring and the sleepless weighing of thoughts and yearnings and praying. it was never easy, yet these paths and people continued to connect in countless ways.
these days and miles have been supported through music, photography, video, janitorhood?, construction, landscaping, and the consistent cycle of selling possessions as the seasons change.
this is my pack and shoes on cannon beach in oregon a few days ago. i’d slept in a hidden spot on the beach and spent a couple days wandering and reading and reflecting on all this. however, the days of this current vagabonding mission are soon coming to a close in order that i go home and remind people i still live and love them.
